i have a few ideas, but i wanna hear yours first. [especially from (but not exclusive to) the founding/early years members. gimme yer ideas!]
we have yet to do this and it is long overdue!!! yay! i am seeing fun nest of saws parties in the future where these rites can be performed!!

Re: *initiation rites*
Fri, January 9, 2004 - 7:11 PMhmm i think whipping boys of yore have always managed to prove their meddle.
for example, one night at our house on third street in monterey, jessica and kevin and ian and i were chilling in my room and suddenly the subject of the guy we thought was the neighborhood narc came up. the first time we encountered this guy we were sitting on our porch and he walked up to us and immediately started asking baited questions about what kind of drugs we were on (surprisingly, we were sober at the time, and hence really annoyed and paranoid). this guy even went so far as to walk right into our house one day, uninvited, or so we thought. on this particular night that jess and k and ian and i were talking, it came to pass that k and ian made with the truth -- they had invited him in. in a drunken rampage i threw the two of them out of the house, screaming at them for letting a narc into my house, and not just letting him, but INVITING him.
at first they thought i was joking around, and just talking shit. when my head started spinning around and my skull split open, they finally realized that i was serious, and left the house. i was not aware of it at the time, as i was still fuming and yelling about them with the windows wide open, but they were camped out on the corner, waiting for me to calm down and let them back inside.
now *that* is devotion.
so, i think a proper hazing ritual would really separate the boys from the men, so to speak. :) -

Re: *initiation rites*
Wed, January 14, 2004 - 7:18 PMok kids, this thread is getting waaaay off topic. i recall a new years party a couple years back at otherworld when the electricity went out, where many of the saws were chanting "show your chode!" and then people performed in a flashlight/glowstick lit circle. breakdancing, etc ensued. -

Thu, January 15, 2004 - 4:00 PMit can be spelled either way (the "choad" spelling is SO 1995) and it is technically a dick that is wider than it is long. -
